Lore
Opening your Lore…
Legal
Last updated September 12, 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and Lore (“we”) covering writeyourlore.com and the Lore app. They are written for product clarity, not as formal legal advice.
By creating an account or using Lore, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Lore. This agreement is between you and Lore only. Apple is not a party to it and is not responsible for Lore or its content.
You need an account to use Lore, because your library, recommendations, social connections, and notifications are tied to it. You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your credentials secure — you are responsible for activity under your account. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Account.
You keep ownership of the reviews, notes, lists, display names, bios, and other content you create. You grant Lore a non-exclusive license to store, display, and share that content within the product according to the privacy and visibility settings you choose. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Lore. You agree not to post or send content that is harassing, threatening, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, or that targets someone for abuse. You also agree not to impersonate others, harvest contact details, spam, scrape the service, attempt to break its security, or use Lore to redistribute catalog data or artwork obtained through it.
Every review, comment, list, and profile can be reported from the app, and you can block any account so you and that person stop appearing to each other in feeds and discovery. We review reports of objectionable content and act within 24 hours — removing content, and suspending or terminating the accounts of users who violate these terms. Lore also filters submitted content automatically, and content caught by those filters may be held, removed, or flagged for review.
Lore is free to use. Lore+ is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. Where Lore+ is offered, the price, billing period, and what is included are shown before you confirm a purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically. A subscription continues until you cancel it, and renews at the end of each billing period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You are charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
If you subscribe through the App Store, payment is charged to your Apple ID account, and you manage or cancel the subscription in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device — not inside Lore. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you subscribe on the web, billing is handled by Stripe and you manage or cancel it from Settings in Lore. Refunds follow the policy of whichever store processed the purchase; unused portions of a current period are not refundable except where required by law.
Titles, artwork, descriptions, and availability come from third-party catalog providers and are shown for reference. We do not guarantee that this metadata is accurate, complete, or current, and a provider credit does not imply endorsement, certification, or affiliation. See About & Sources for provider credits and current-use details.
Lore is under active development. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove functionality. We may suspend or discontinue the service, and we will give reasonable notice where we can. Lore is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You can stop using Lore and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, or where required for the safety of other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — continue to apply.
We may update these terms as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Lore after an update means you accept the revised terms.
